GEORGIE SWALLOW - The Prologue

Seemingly the logical way to start my blog in the right way is to introduce myself and it would be rude not to as I am very grateful that you are taking the time to read the ramblings of a half mad, pug lover. So with that being said, HI! My name is Georgie Swallow, I am 26 years old and a mother of two ... pugs. Big fan of all things adventure, whether that be skiing, snowboarding, bungee jumps or just too much tequila on casual Tuesday HOWEVER all of the above have been put on hold as I am currently facing my toughest adventure yet!

In September 2018 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. By the time I was diagnosed the cancer was on both sides of my throat, both sides of my chest, under my diaphragm and in my lung.  I know, sucks right?! Well this blog is not going to be one of sadness and strife instead it will be one of strength, positivity, humour and sharing (most of the times probably over-sharing!).  Don't get me wrong, it will be painfully truthful at times and will face many of the not so pretty faces of cancer however I have been determined to find the funny in as much of this journey as possible.

A wise woman once told me, 'it's all in the attitude.' In life we are faced with challenges that we cannot change, what we can change is the attitude in how we face it!!
